1. We listen to teaching outside of scripture
2. False witness or teachers come forth and we follow them
3. Believer saying, they are of God but are of the enemy and we worship them
4. Unknowingly following religious movements that is Christian but is a different gospel.
When you come to Christ you must relinquish it all to the Lord and hold no parts of yourself from Him. So let me explain before we go through the four very important topics that needs addressing.
Consequently, there are those that come to Christ with good intentions but not the right motives and that will lead you to these different doctrines than the one of God’s designed order. When we come to repent it is because we see the brokenness in ourselves, when we try to measure up to what the world calls good. I want to dive a little deeper to help you see where I am coming from. I’m pretty sure everyone who reads this will say that is not true and in some small part you are right but allow me to connect the dot and help you see how they are linked.
We all in some measure have something we liked a lot while we were of the earth these are the distinctions I want to bring to the surface. So here are some of those things that are linked, but we didn’t see the connections at that time I hope that this will open a lot of eyes and hearts to better receive Jesus. The links are as follows, loneliness, drugs, sex, fame, popularity, and money. These things are the driving force of all that we hold on to that is evil.
I hope now you can see how it all connects and how every aspect of these thing is connected to the very first sin which was pride. There’s a saying pride comes before the fall, a sobering set of words. This is what filled the heart of Satan when he said that he inspires to be like the most High-God. After God saw the condition of, he’s heart ❤️ God casted him out of heaven. Consequently, you see it a little clearer how everyone of these is all about you and what you want, this leads to a selfish heart. ♥️ I don’t think I need to go any further with this, because it is very clear when all we do is to self-indulgence ourselves it is never a good this because God tells us we are to put other before ourselves. Love you neighbors as yourself.
Ok let us begin, listening to teaching that is outside of scripture is dangerous especially when you are new to Christianity. God is very clear on this; faith comes by hearing the word.
Romans 10:17-20
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 18 But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed:“Their sound has gone out to all the earth, And their words to the ends of the world.”
I am going to share a video with you from this pastor because I love the way he explains faith and believing. He says it is not seeing is believing, but believing is seeing, this makes things a little different. the verses about believing and faith reads like this, you have seen me and believed how much more is the one who faith and believe but has not seen. That truly blew me away which makes so much since on how important words are to God. God says he will hold us accountable for every word the cometh out of our mouths. My brother in the lord at bible study corrected me because he said that the Lord said it this way, by every idle word. The words must always speak truth and imperially edify.
Out of all the verses that speaks on believing this one to me is the most important one.
Hebrews 11:6 ESV
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Romans 10:13-14 ESV
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
Listening is important because you will be motivated and moved by what you hear and or what you are listening to. The thing is, who are you listening to because that will be the tool that directs your path. This is where the critical theory comes in the play when it comes to social Justice. This movement has been accepted by a lot of pastors and churches; we cannot fall for this theory. People this is not good, and we need not buy into the lie because it is of Satan and not of God. We should never adopt any other gospel but what is written from the most High-God.
For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.
So, if we are listening to something other than the truth it will lead us to a deceptive understanding, this is what happens with CRT it seems good on the surface but at the end of it is death, for nothing about it is good.
See with the understanding of how Satan works you can see the evil in this movement. Satan comes as an agent of light just as demons comes as false teacher & prophet. We cannot adopt everything that looks and sounds good if we are not lining it up with scripture that to me is that heart of the problem and we probably need to check ourselves meaning check our walk and see how we are wrong.
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So, it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
For these people are of their father Satan and they come under the false spirit to kill steel and destroy. For that is the rule of their law.
Finally, this is what leads us to unknowingly follow all type of deceitful doctrines. We must be cunning as a serpent and gentle as a dove. See in doing this we can clearly see the enemy for who he is and not every doctrine that sound good will look so good to us, because we will look to test it with the word of God before adapting it.
