This is going to be a very hard one to write for it touches us all very deeply in ways we don’t even know. God in His word is very clear about lying and God takes a strong stand on all who continue to lie when they have the truth. So, I will in this blog show you God’s heart in all of this and why it is so important to Him because God knows when you come against this you will need to make a clear and decisive decision.
Now let’s go on a journey that God took me through in His words the Holy scriptures the Bible. I was sitting watching the president make a mockery of this nation while everyone is asleep to what was going on all around us.
This Proverbs out of all the scriptures that speak against this, explains it the best, Proverbs 6:16-19. There is no clearer depiction of Isaiah 5:20 and what is going on today than this set of verses in Proverbs 6.
There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
Before I continue, I want to break down this verse in case you haven’t seen what is being said in this set of verses.
God in this set of verses makes a decree on what types of lies are an abomination to Him. See in this word abomination God also is telling us that there are levels of sin, in the case of those that do not believe this well it's true. A lying tongue is willing to make up stories to make either yourself look good or to prove something you agree with to be true when it’s not. That one was simple but this next one fall into so many other categories of scripture that I do not think people see it to be so.
I believe this to be so, and I will show you through scripture, however, if I miss using understanding this text, please feel free to write me and show how. Before we get started, I will share the Isaiah account with you so you can have a clear understanding of how God led to this conclusion.
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
Let’s get started now we must always understand that I am using the basic application of scripture and how we are to see the world through the lens of the Bible.
Today they want us to believe the things that are going on in the world without questioning the moral efficacy of what they believe. They do not care about how it may affect us or the world. There are so many things we are doing today as a nation that we would at no time ever consider, yet today we find it ok.
See the issue is not that they want to bring about these evil things, the issue is they want us to conform and agree. This is where the churches should be drawing the line of truth in this whole matter, but they choose to agree confirm and approve of it all.
This is what the false witnessing God is talking about in Proverbs. We are called the children of God for that main reason we have the truth and anything outside of this is bearing false witness to a matter. Now you and I are the representers of truth how much more is a pastor, bishop, or deacon supposed to uphold the truth to the world?
We have so many things against the church of God that they are calling for us to stand for that are completely appose to God. Nevertheless, the Church of today says that it is good for us to stand with the world on these lists of things. I will just give you a few for the list can get exhausting.
1. The structure of man and woman before God
2. Homosexuality
3. Same-sex marriage
4. Abortion
5. Sex (what they call gender)
6. Bestiality
7. Pedophilia
There are many more, but you see my point so I will show the lies and hypocrisy of it all.
My disclosure is this does not speak of the ones in the world for we know that they are of their father Satan. I am speaking of the ones who call themselves Christians. To them is one of two things either they were never with us, or they are cowards as it speaks of in scripture.
Let's speak about what God said about a coward.
But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
Now if you truly know my Lord and savior you know He never makes an error in His word, if He said it He met it. With that said look at the order God puts this, and I’m telling it is not an error it is by design. See I have highlighted a few words to show you how they correspond with one another. The word coward is a strong word that describes a person's motive to do things that are for the most part immoral and detestable. Therefore, He started with faithlessness, for if you have faith all the processed sins will not gain traction in you.
If you look at a lot of movies today many of the senses of murder are because someone fears a secret getting out or a lie, they started to protect themselves would be found out. What does that tell us to me it is very clear this is cowardly, and it leads to murder, idolaters, and lies.
So, today and now, they want you to lie for them by saying a man is a woman or the other way around. Then they want us to agree that same-sex marriage is ok when marriage was not instituted by man but by God.
These are the lies God is talking about in Proverbs 6 and it is that lie that will bring many and I mean many so-called believers to hell. If you look around you can see that people are living exactly like this, they are willing to steal, kill and destroy one another all for a lie.
Why are we willing to do it all for this world but not for the one who created it all?, Wow how far have we fallen for us not to be able to see these lies for what they are? The only thing that makes sense to me on this is that God has judged this world with the strong delusion He spoke of and has given us up to our own devices.
I will end with this, see we all have to decide on what grounds are we willing to die, will it be for the truth of God or the lies of man? We need to take this walk seriously because it is the only walk that leads to salvation. God has made it clear that there is only one way to the father, and it is through Him.
· For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.”
· The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy. Proverbs 12:22
· Save me, Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues. Psalm 120:2
· The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others.
· He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
· Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.
· Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.
· Whoever conceals hatred with lying lips and spreads slander is a fool.
· If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
· Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. Proverbs 10:9
· A perverse person stirs up conflict, and a gossip separates close friends.
Proverbs 16:28
· An honest witness does not deceive, but a false witness pours out lies.
Proverbs 14:5
· ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’
Matthew 19:18b-19
· You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
John 8:44
· Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches but give me only my daily bread.
Proverbs 30:8
· Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
Matthew 5:11
· The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.
Proverbs 15:4
· To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance,evil behavior and perverse speech.
Proverbs 8:13
· Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”
Acts 5:3-4
· A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.
Proverbs 11:13
· Eloquent lips are unsuited to a godless fool— how much worse lying lips to a ruler!
Proverbs 17:7
· Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
Proverbs 4:24
· The lips of the righteous know what finds favor, but the mouth of the wicked only what is perverse.
Proverbs 10:32
· God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
