How to view political policies as a Christian

First, there are three primary core values we, as children of God, should focus on before moving forward. These values are unchanging because they are rooted in Christ Jesus.

I want to emphasize the importance of aligning your values with those outlined in scripture. If you find that your beliefs and actions do not resonate with these principles, it’s crucial to reflect on yourself thoughtfully. Scripture advises us to examine our lives and conduct to determine whether we are truly living in a way that meets God's approval.

I encourage you to read the entirety of 2nd Timothy chapter 2, as it offers profound insights into our identity and responsibilities as individuals devoted to God. This chapter beautifully illustrates the traits that define us as men and women of faith, highlighting qualities such as perseverance, integrity, and the commitment to spreading the gospel. By internalizing these messages, we can strive to embody the values that reflect our spiritual journey.

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

If we are not willing to set these standards to our lives then we cannot call ourselves Christians.

1.              Life

2.              Humanity

3.              laws

However, within these three are the pillars or what God calls us to. We are called to a higher standard.

Life, what that means to God well if by now you don't know then you are truly lost and in need of prayer.

Let's speak about how careless we are about life, how we have no thought of the value Life brings, and are so unashamed of the killings of innocent babies in and now outside of the womb. This is a pagan worship of a God called Molech from scripture, and we all know that is Satan and this is the god they serve.

They built the high places of Baal in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to offer up their sons and daughters to Molech, though I did not command them, nor did it enter into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, and so profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.

Life;

Life begins in the womb, a sacred space where a human being—a unique creation of God—should experience the highest sense of safety and protection. Unfortunately, this is far from the reality in many places around the world, where access to prenatal care and support is often limited. During this critical period of development, research shows that God communicates with us in profound ways, indicating that we are not merely a clump of cells but rather complex individuals with the capacity for feelings, growth, and potential from the very earliest stages of life. Understanding this truth can illuminate the intrinsic value of every unborn child and emphasize the importance of nurturing and protecting life at all stages.

In America, the term "abortion" is often framed as "health care," which I find profoundly ironic. The act of terminating an unborn child is now labeled as prenatal care in our contemporary society. This perspective raises significant moral and ethical questions. To illustrate the gravity of the situation, I want to share some eye-opening statistics. When I first encountered these numbers, they were shocking and deeply devastating to me. For instance, it's estimated that in the U.S., millions of pregnancies end in abortion each year, and the reasons behind these decisions vary widely. Many women cite financial concerns, lack of support, or health risks as factors influencing their choice. These statistics reveal a complex societal issue that impacts families, communities, and the very fabric of our collective values.

Most of the statistics are not even valuable, meaning there was no reason to take that life. I am completely against abortion, so I don’t believe anyone can give me a legitimate reason for one. Worldwide, we have assassinated  1.7 billion babies since 1980. Make that make since.

Here are some intermit scriptures for us who are willing to listen about the depth of our eternal Father’s love for us.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

And now the Lord says, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him; and that Israel might be gathered to him— for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord, and my God has become my strength—

Listen to me, O coastlands, and give attention, you peoples from afar. The Lord called me from the womb, from the body of my mother he named my name.

Here’s the world clock on abortion and some statistics

When examining these statistics, it becomes strikingly evident that there exists a troubling and intentional disregard for human life. Many individuals frequently invoke the argument, "What if someone gets raped?" despite the odds being less than one percent in this context. This leads to an essential question: why do we seek justifications that are largely absent? Ultimately, it boils down to a matter of the heart, where compassion and empathy should guide our responses and decisions.

If that is not enough to illuminate the profound depth of God’s love for life—cherishing not only the vibrant moments of our earthly existence but also the promise of eternal life with Him—then the symbolism of the cross speaks volumes. It embodies the ultimate sacrifice, reflecting His unwavering intention for us to lead lives marked by righteousness and purpose. More than just a call to personal holiness, God desires for us to be a brilliant beacon in a world shrouded in confusion, showcasing the transformative beauty and joy that a genuine relationship with Christ can bring to every aspect of our lives. This is what life means to our Lord and Savior it is not a clump of cells.

Humanity:

The profound lack of respect we exhibit towards truth is troubling. Many individuals choose to embrace falsehoods simply to avoid causing distress to others, but can this really be deemed as kindness or compassion? When we fail to uphold the essence of humanity as it was meant to be, we find ourselves ensnared in an intricate web of deception. This acceptance of untruth not only undermines our integrity but also distances us from genuine connections, ultimately eroding the foundation of trust and authenticity that should bind us together.

When we disregard the divine design that God established for humanity—distinguishing man and woman—we truly lose our grasp on reality and the essence of truth. It is disheartening to witness how far we have strayed, allowing young, impressionable minds to be swayed by the pervasive falsehoods that are infiltrating God’s beautifully crafted order. This not only reveals the depths of a person’s character but also reflects a profound disrespect for our Creator, who looked upon His creation of Adam and Eve and declared it to be very good.

God has intricately woven an order for humanity, clearly stating that a man should leave the comfort of his parental home and join with his wife, creating a profound bond as they become one flesh. This sacred union reflects the divine intentions for our lives. If you have genuinely been reborn, you are transformed; you are no longer the individual you once were, nor do you possess ownership of your own life. You have been redeemed by the precious blood of the Lamb, who willingly offered Himself as a sacrifice for our sins, a sacrifice that came at a cost we can never fully repay.

This sacred union is designed exclusively for a man and a woman, embodying a divine connection that is both blessed and cherished. Any arrangement that falls outside of this traditional bond is viewed as contrary to nature—a deviation that lacks the holy affirmation of God’s will. Such unions are perceived as unholy and unrighteous, standing outside the realm of divine intention and order.

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”

So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

These verses clearly state that the marriage bed is intended for one man and one woman to unite with one another until death separates them. There is no other form of union specified in scripture. God calls any union outside His divine order dishonorable and deprave.

God tells us when we start to live in the matter He will turn us over to these unnatural effects.

For this reason, God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Laws:

Laws are established to serve our interests, not to cause us harm. When we examine Romans 13 within its broader context, we discover that God ordains the governing authorities of the world with the intention of safeguarding believers. However, throughout history, humanity has often distorted God's teachings to align with their own agendas.

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.  For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing.  Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.

Fulfilling the Law Through Love

Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

Be subject for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether it be to the emperor as supreme, or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil and to praise those who do good. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people. Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.

However, a profound warning arises when human laws directly oppose the enduring truths of divine law of Jesus Christ.

But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree.

The law liberates us from the grip of our sinful nature, the very thing that once enslaved us. What once held power over our lives now no longer binds us, granting us newfound freedom and the opportunity to embrace a life of righteousness.

But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty.

For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

I will conclude my thoughts here. Regardless of whether you identify as Democratic, Republican, progressive, or conservative, these labels ultimately hold little significance because they are all of this world, while we are not bound by it. It is essential for us to uphold the truth, for it is truth that liberates us from the confines of societal divisions. This conviction is why God urges us to remain dedicated to our purpose and mission.

It is crucial for us to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the party's platform to make well-informed decisions when casting our votes on the three pivotal objectives. This in-depth examination will allow us to grasp the intricacies of their proposals, helping us to align our choices with our core values and priorities. By carefully analyzing their stance, we can ensure that our votes reflect our aspirations for the future and contribute to meaningful change.

1.     Life

2.     Humanity

3.     Laws

As a result, a thorough examination of the various political parties reveals a clear and concerning alignment against the core values that uphold life, the dignity of humanity, and the foundational principles enshrined in our legal system. This opposition manifests itself through policies and rhetoric that undermine individual rights, threaten the sanctity of life, and disregard the fundamental respect for human dignity. By analyzing voting records, public statements, and the socio-political implications of their platforms, it becomes increasingly evident which parties prioritize these critical issues and which ones actively contravene them.

This understanding hinges on the idea that our perspectives are most accurate when viewed through the lens of scripture. It is only by examining our beliefs against the teachings and principles found within these sacred texts that we can genuinely discern what is right and what is wrong. This process of reflection allows us to navigate moral complexities with clarity and conviction.

In the landscape of our societal values, Jesus has made it clear that we should not align ourselves with those who stand in opposition to the fundamental principles He upheld. There exists a political faction that starkly contradicts these cherished ideals, yet many within the church and the Christian community continue to assert their allegiance to this party, claiming it champions the causes of life, justice, and humanity. This assertion, however, seems dissonant when considering that their foundational beliefs and policies diverge significantly from the immutable laws set forth by our Heavenly Father, who is steadfast and unchanging in His truths.

Finally, I want to emphasize the importance of being mindful about how we cast our votes. There are moral implications tied to the stances we take, and we will be held accountable for our actions. God reminds us that we will be responsible for every word we speak.

As always, I want to thank all who come through my blog. My hope is that it edifies you and helps bring clarity to issues that may arise in your life.

Thank you and God Bless

Peace & Shalom.
