My wife and I have been in deep thoughts and prayer on all the craziness that have been going on this past year. We have seen the many sides of Christianity which is an oxymoronic statement because there should only be one. The main concern on this is that many do not truly understand what the word of God says about us drawing clear lines between the world and who we are in Christ Jesus. We are no longer children of his wrath but children of His Son. Being born into a new creation in Christ we are no longer seen as the world who the wrath of God is appointed to but of the purity of His Son in who he is well pleased. Let us look at what was done to the Son and understand that we will not be popular.
John 15:18-19 ESV
“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
In Luke it says we are blessed for the exact reason, go figure. I say how is that a blessing, but what I can say it paints a clear picture, where we stand when we are truly standing on the words of God.
Luke 6:22 ESV
“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man!
I will mention some popular figures in the Christian circle, and this may sting some readers but my task through what God has appointed me to is to speak truth. Truth is not being used correctly in todays society and that is why people are being so easily manipulated to believing the false narrative that is being conveyed today, which is a whole venue of lies right from the father of lies. What we are lacking to see is that God word paints a perfect picture of what we are going thru today but we choose to listen and believe man instead of God. This is something that has been going on for a very long time, I will share a story in the bible where man denied the deity of God by telling Him that they wanted a man to rule over them like the other kingdoms had instead of having Him as a ruler. I know that had to hurt God but still he gave them what they asked for, wow. How can we not see the love he has for His creation; you cannot continue to believe in a God like this and not be willing to give your live for Him. Look I do not believe that there is a family member that would go through what God has sustained from man and continue to love us; they would most likely take you out.
In the book of 1st Samuel speaks on the people of that time denying God from ruling over us. Instead of the Jews accepting God as their King they ask for a king to rule over them like the other kingdoms had. Here is the story in 1st Samuel
1st Samuel 8:4-22 4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah 5 and said to him, “Behold, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint for us a king to judge us like all the nations.” 6 But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” And Samuel prayed to the Lord. 7 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them. 8 According to all the deeds that they have done, from the day I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are also doing to you. 9 Now then, obey their voice; only you shall solemnly warn them and show them the ways of the king who shall reign over them.”
So, Samuel warns them, but they did not even care to listen to the warning that God gave Samuel. Here are the verses of that warning
10 So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking for a king from him. 11 He said, “These will be the ways of the king who will reign over you: he will take your sons and appoint them to his chariots and to be his horsemen and to run before his chariots. 12 And he will appoint for himself commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and some to plow his ground and to reap his harvest, and to make his implements of war and the equipment of his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive orchards and give them to his servants. 15 He will take the tenth of your grain and of your vineyards and give it to his officers and to his servants. 16 He will take your male servants and female servants and the best of your young men[a] and your donkeys, and put them to his work. 17 He will take the tenth of your flocks, and you shall be his slaves. 18 And in that day, you will cry out because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”
19 But the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel. And they said, “No! But there shall be a king over us, 20 that we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.” 21 And when Samuel had heard all the words of the people, he repeated them in the ears of the Lord. 22 And the Lord said to Samuel, “Obey their voice and make them a king.” Samuel then said to the men of Israel, “Go every man to his city.”
God granted what they wanted, knowing very well what was apparent but they cared not. God told us that we would not be popular, but that we would be hated because of him. When you look at scripture it is clear the true speakers of God were not liked so why would you believe they would be today. Look I will mention some names I am not calling these people demons, but they are leading many people astray. You know what I do not have to mention any names because it is very clear who the popular preachers are, and what they teach.
We need to do better than that when we who have truth, we need to call it out. When we see loved ones around us that are trapped in this vicious cycle, we are held accountable for their blood, so we need to speak the hard truths no matter what.
However, you can now clearly see that man kind have been denying God from the beginning and that this is not new but just a reoccurrence of man nature. How can we not love a God like that, most men would have never continued to bless us as God has till this day. I can believe how we still respond in the matter that we do when we have the truth of his word in the palm of our hands,
