I am putting these verses together so we can see how clearly God has made it in His word that we are not to be like this world, and we are new creatures in Christ Jesus.
I do not see why we are getting it wrong when it is so simple, the only way is that the ones who are teaching are falsely doing so. These individuals will have their place in the lake of fire.

I m not sure if I have shared how we are no longer part of this world we have been born into the kingdom of heaven. God calls us the ambassadors of heaven, we are now part of the kingdom of heaven. I will add a video from the Aoc network, and this youtuber does a good job in explaining this fact.
Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
