This is just a short teaching on how sin can easily be imbedded to our soul if we are not prayerful and aware of our surroundings.
Jude 1:20-23
20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.
This prayer is for us to be empowered by the Holy Spirit. He is the one that will guide us to all truth so we must come to Him and make our elections sure.
This is the helper that Jesus said would come to help us and guide us, He will bring to our memories all that Jesus has thought us when He was with us.
We are called to keep ourselves in His mercy until the day of the Lord. In these verses God tells us to have compassion for some and for others save them with the fear of what will come about them if they do not turn to the Lord. For the day of the Lord is at hand.
God also said to those type of sinners not even their garment we should touch so we are not also defiled.
Wow how concerning is that I would say very, if just the clothes on these individuals can defile us, then that should tell you how deep the sins that they adapted to or was tied to is. This is letting us know that you sins if not put in check and rebuked will subdue you and submerge you in all other types of sin when you are living a life of sin.
