In today's world, it's crucial to have a biblical understanding of this topic. Hence, teaching is necessary. Let's begin by looking at the verses and analyzing them.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths
The verse may seem simple, yet it is often misinterpreted as a matter of surrendering to our physical desires. However, if we rely solely on our own comprehension, it is a sign that we have not yet fully submitted to our Creator. This failure to submit may lead to our ultimate downfall if we cling to worldly attachments that prevent us from fulfilling our divine destiny.
Today's dilemma may be considered a sinful matter, but our perspective on it is different and confusing. Any additional elements we incorporate into our interpretation of scripture can have a ripple effect on the gospel, altering our perception of God's word. Therefore, in Deuteronomy, God warns us not to add or remove anything from the 📕 book.
Deuteronomy 4:2
You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
This book's words serve to direct, teach, guide, and exhort us towards greater knowledge and understanding. It's crucial that we don't alter God's words on important matters like the current actions of some pastors. God is unchanging and remains the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Many people assume that the language used in Revelation pertains to God's overall message, but this is not entirely accurate. The way in which God speaks in Revelation is unique to that particular book and should not be applied to the entirety of the Bible. As someone who believes that God's words and actions are always intentional, I find it important to note that God explicitly refers to His word in Deuteronomy, which encompasses the entire Bible. It is crucial that we re-evaluate our perspectives and actions in this world. Instead of clinging to old habits, we must follow God's calling in order to achieve victory.
Well now, I am writing this to educate and assist individuals in gaining a deeper comprehension of the teachings of God. Although the concept may seem straightforward to me, I understand that it may not be for others. It's important to recognize that God's ways are not the same as ours, and I am here to provide further explanation and clarification.
Let's begin with some verses to help us understand who God is and how we should live if we choose to follow Him and His teachings.
God teaches us that His ways are not our ways, which is why we should always seek His guidance before relying on our own understanding of any worldly matters or concerns.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Ezekiel 18:25-26
"Yet you say, 'The way of the Lord is not fair.' Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not My way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair? When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies in it, it is because of the iniquity which he has done that he dies.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death
It is illogical to ask for God's guidance and then act in a way that goes against His teachings. We cannot be devoted to both God and the world, as we will inevitably favor one over the other. By doing so, we only prioritize our own desires instead of God's plan for us. Ultimately, following our own ways leads to destruction.
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
God has expressed a desire to embark on a new journey with us, and it begs the question - why should we cling to the old ways? A new heart of flesh has been granted to us by God, so that he may inscribe his laws upon it, and we may hold it dear for eternity. However, what God expects of us goes against our natural inclinations. This is the challenge we must overcome. If we persist in holding onto the past, we will never be able to progress in our faith in Christ Jesus. According to God, anyone who plows while looking back is unworthy of him. We cannot rely on our preconceived notions to uncover the truth.
The truth that the world claims to possess is not the ultimate truth. Although we may have some knowledge about ourselves, the ultimate truth can only be found in Jesus.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
In this passage, God reveals that He is the only source of truth. Therefore, the lesson to be learned is that we should view everything through the lens of the Bible. It's a straightforward concept: life is brief, but if we follow God during our time on earth, we will be granted eternal life. That's not too much to ask for, considering that God's way not only leads to a better life, but an abundant one that lasts forever.
It is unwise to rely solely on our own understanding, as it may seem correct but ultimately lead to death. Jesus came to rescue us from this fate, yet many of us are still rushing towards it. We must not heed those who promote worldly traditions, as they will only steer us in the wrong direction. God is on our side and does not wish for anyone to perish. He loves us all, but it is up to us to choose to make sacrifices and follow and serve Him. This is a decision we must make for ourselves.
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
I will end it here I can probably say more on this, but I think you get the point.
As always, I hope all is blessed who pass through this website get a better understanding of scripture. May God richly bless you and your household.
