Love is Purposeful

This will not be a long blog, however I will have many verses to share on this topic. So, sit back and enjoy the read from this blog.

My wife in these last few days has taught me that love is more than being emotional it’s being purposeful.

However, before I go to what we spoke on and how it impacted me I will first share some verse to show you how God’s word says this is how we are to be when it comes to love.

These verses I will share speak to how we should show love to one another. My wife and I don’t agree on this, but I believe the way they did it in the olden days was better than how people seek out for love today.

In the olden day the father would pick out their daughter’s husband, it based on an understanding of the two family for most part to grow the family in mutual beliefs or to better the families’ futures. These were called arranged marriages.

Today’s society believe in the emotions of the relationship; however, God tells us in so many verses that our emotions or feelings will lead us astray and we should not trust it. God fines this to be so important that He tell us this more than once.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

So, in reading God’s words I founded the truth on love, and I know many will not see it as so but permit me to show you through God’s words and yet Him be the arbiter of the truth.

We have to learn the terms of engagement and become doers of the terms and learn to stick to them. These are terms that was given to us by God and the recipe to a good relationship between a man and a woman. God in His words say husband love 💗 your wife as I have loved the church and wife respect your man for it is the form of love that man understands. (Verse is highlighted in yellow)

See we are different in so many ways and that is why God tells us that the two shall become one as if they are one flesh. These are the components needed to raise a family. God’s design is not a mistake like the world 🌍 would have you believe it is perfect.

Everything that God has put in place has been manipulated to be used in a different way, and this is done on purpose by the enemy, Satan.

I am providing all these verses to show that this is not me but the Lord who speaks of these things and is call us to follow these ways. I these verses God is telling us that we should always look to Him in all of our ways so that we are not deceived from these evil days.

Just to add a little content to today. People today say they feel like something that they are not, is the same issue that love will have if it’s laid in emotions or feelings it will fade.

There are other articles on this but this one was short and sweet, so I chose to use it. This will give you a clear understanding on why emotional base marriages are bounded for 40 to 50% failure.

Please feel free to look into this yourself because I believe it will bring you to a closer walk with our Lord Jesus Christ. When you see how He loved us it brings a different perspective to the word love.

Ephesians 5:25-33: Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church.

There is no verse here that is based on emotions, these are purposeful acts of true love. I hope you read the article that I provided above. The article speaks about love at first sight this is the emotional aspect of love and in most part is not sustainable. However, he explains that this is short lived and will fade, what will you do then when it’s based on emotions or feelings.

Every verse here is purposeful just like the act Jesus did for us on the cross. God never done anything randomly all of God’s acts are purposeful. Consequently, this speaks volumes on how we should act as well. If the creator of all that we know has come to earth and put on flesh live and died it because it was purposeful. There is no act greater, it is said if you have this or if you have that all these things are worthless without love. So, if God comes to us, lived, loved and died that is telling us that this is the only way to the Father don’t you think that He would expect for us to do the same, I say yes.

And when you look 👀 at the logic behind this form of love ❤️ it makes so much more sense. See God never forces anyone to do something he or she doesn’t want to do. It has always been and will be our choice, so it either going to be God or this world, 🌍 or better put Satan. There are only two choices don’t let this world have you believing that there are many ways because it’s a lie from the enemy.

See when you make a decision from the very beginning of your walk with Christ you had to make a choice. However, some make a decision before knowing all understand the whole truth. I believe that most of us started our walk with Christ unaware of the cost but after a deeper understanding we understood and choose. This in a nutshell is how we need to approach love in our live.

Now I am not saying you cannot have love at first sight, because you can, but I will bet that in some of those relationship they had to make a choice to stay together.

There are many emotions and feelings when it comes to love and that is why our Lord wants us to understand who we are in Him first so that we are not led by emotions but in a true union.

I will leave you with this warning because I was there once and know how tempting it is to self-love. God is clear on this we are to put others before ourselves. It is the world that speaks of love oneself first. However, this is not biblical and goes against the created order of the most-High God. God in one of the above verses I highlighted blue where God tell us to love our wives as we love ourselves because one never hates once self but loves himself. There many be time it seems one sided and that is because it is from the enemy. However, when you see some one-sided love and it start to elevate know that. Its’ the enemy who sees this. Do not fall prey to that deception because it is very tempting and will lead to destruction. Man, however, wait till you hear this satanic lady talk about self-love as if it is of God. But it is not it is of the devil; this lady is demonically posse by a demon. These are the things of the world and not Christ.

I will add a link that will help you see it better.

I hope this reaches the ones that need to hear these words, and as always, I hope this blesses all who passes through my blog.

God bless you all.
