The deception Jesus Spoke of. P2

2 Corinthians 10:3-6

3. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4. for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 6. and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your obedience is complete.

This chapter helps bring my point to a marvelous end. When you read what Paul writes here in 2 Cor. 10:3-6 and what I have provided in my first blog, it is clear why many get deceived. We are supposed to take every conversation and as stated above, every thought we encounter to the obedience of Jesus Christ. The folly of not following this precept will lead many to their demise.

We commonly rely on external sources for ideas and information, such as the content of modern society or our desires. This is why we find ourselves so lost - we fail to consult the word of God to understand his message, and instead we listen to false teachers who aim to lead us astray. These teachers are serving their agenda, which ultimately leads us toward the path of Satan.

As believers, we are called to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ Jesus. This means that God wants us to be conscious of our thought patterns and to align them with His word. It's important to note that the battle we face is not a physical one, but a spiritual one. Unfortunately, we often fall short in this area by clinging to our own moral standards instead of surrendering our hearts and minds to God. Let's strive to deny ourselves and seek His guidance in all things.

The verses mentioned above clearly highlight the thoughts and feelings of those who seek God. Unfortunately, we often fail to follow the biblical advice of surrendering our lives to the cross that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, died on. Instead, we tend to give in to the worldly ideas and opinions that go against the scripture. It is crucial that we demolish such speculations and lofty arguments that are contrary to the truth and teachings of the Bible.

As I was writing, God once again made things clear to me. I came across a YouTube video of Ray Comfort speaking to a lady who was polite but clearly did not want to accept Christ. It made me think about how, when we deny the power of scripture, we are like this person but instead of being forthright, we deceive ourselves.

I would like to clarify my statement. It is easier to accept different interpretations of scripture when we do not disregard our own subjective understanding of life. Often, we trust people who hold certain titles or statuses to speak the truth, even if it is not always accurate. Therefore, it is crucial to detach ourselves from our emotions and opinions when seeking knowledge on any subject.

To achieve something easily, always remember that we are in a fallen state of mind. But through Christ Jesus, we can be saved. Therefore, if the flesh, which we are constantly fighting against, agrees with something, it is likely to be wrong. According to Scripture, we are called to deny ourselves and seek Christ, who will guide us to all understanding. It is important to note that we cannot keep some parts of ourselves and expect Christ's approval. Denying ourselves is not only the starting point but also an ongoing process to avoid being deceived.

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

And calling the crowd to him with his disciples, he said to them, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

And he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

There are many Bible verses that speak on the matter of deception, and I believe it is important to share them to show that God does not want us to be fooled. It is actually us who deceive ourselves. Some people question why God would allow us to be deceived, but the truth is that if we do not fully surrender to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we risk being deceived.

From the very beginning, Cain was led astray by deception. It's worth noting that the first act of deception was committed by Eve. Satan, at the tree of truth about good and evil, deceived Eve into believing his lie. This is the root cause of the problem we face today - the idea that everyone can have their version of the truth. Such thinking is nothing but ludicrous and is a direct result of Satan's influence. It's clear that Satan doesn't need to change his tactics, as we can easily fall prey to his deceitful ways.

I hope that this message provides a clear understanding for those seeking answers on this matter. When I was going through it myself, I didn't expect to find all the insights that the Lord had to offer through His word. As you can see, God always surprises us when we seek His counsel. I encourage you to look into this for yourselves and remember to always read the full context of the scripture to gain a proper understanding of the text.

As always, I hope this helps bring clarity and a better understanding of God’s word. May everyone who comes across this website be richly blessed by our Lord and Savior.

God Bless, Peace, and Sholom.
