Today I will be talking about who rules and reigns, for there are some believers who seem to think Satan and God are equals. Well let me help you with this thought and leave you with a clear response they are not, not even close.
The God that I serve has no equal 🟰 and is the creator of all that exists and above it all.
I was listening to a pastor speaking on this and man it really resonated with me.
However, at first, I didn’t receive it because I was thinking Of God like the world does and how they believe Him to be. People I want to propose to you the true God, God and his ways are not like our ways. We cannot hold on to a notion of God the fits our thought patterns or ways. God cannot be put in a box like the world wants to put Him in because He created the box.
God in His own words said that His way is not like ours why do we hold on to our views when we come to Him. This is the first problem with mankind they think they know the mind of God, but we cannot know what is not revealed. God has revealed to us in His words in the bible who He is and anything outside of that is beyond our understanding. Here are some verses to help clear this matter.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.
Hopefully these two verses will help you see a little clearer who God is. See the death that is being spoken of in this scripture I believe it to be of the second death, for we all fall to the first death. Now let’s get started, if we understand that God uses all thing for the glory of Him this will help you to follow the thought process.
Here, let me share a story with you from the bible, a story from Job. Job was a Godly man who did everything to glorify the Lord. Job so respected God and understood the penalty of sin that when his children were going to party, he would make a sacrifice to God on there behalf. This was a God-fearing man who truly respected his Creator. Now Satan entered heaven and here’s what happened next in the story.
7 The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
9 “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
13 One day when Job’s sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, 14 a messenger came to Job and said, “The oxen were plowing and the donkeys were grazing nearby, 15 and the Sabeans attacked and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”
16 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The fire of God fell from the heavens and burned up the sheep and the servants, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”
17 While he was still speaking, another messenger came and said, “The Chaldeans formed three raiding parties and swept down on your camels and made off with them. They put the servants to the sword, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”
18 While he was still speaking, yet another messenger came and said, “Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother’s house, 19 when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house. It collapsed on them, and they are dead, and I am the only one who has escaped to tell you!”
20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.[c] The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”
22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.
Now by this time I am pretty sure that Satan is very frustrated with all that was happening because Job never laid charges against the Most- High. So, Satan came before God again.
Job 2:3-6
3 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.”
4 “Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has for his own life. 5 But now stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
6 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.”
So, we can clearly see that Satan has to get permission to touch God’s chosen people like Job.
However, the understanding we need to have, is that everything that has been done or is being and will be done is all by design. These things have been established from the very beginning nothing is by chance if you truly believe in Christ Jesus. Now with seeing what happened to Job you can look at the things that is going on in your life and it would never compare.
Job was a Godly man, and all that happened to him should have never transpired but it did. However, without this story we would never be able to understand what was going on or why certain events occur.
So, with these revelations we can have a clearer picture of events to some extent and the possibility to why. Now God is not going to use everyone like he used Job. Nevertheless, God will use us in some capacity.
Knowing that God will use you, the question is will you be ready to say God use me. This is the mind set we ort to have. You have people calling God bad because he let Satan do two things.
1. Allow him to live.
2. Allow him to do whatever he will.
Now let’s look at this logically, what makes us any different than Satan and his angels. Consequently, they have more respect for the Creator than we do. I will share with you a conversation I had with a co-worker at my job. I speak of my creator almost all the time and everyone at the job knows my stand in Christ Jesus. He was having a conversation with another team member, and I interjected my two cents to their talking point. When I started to say what I was about to say the gentleman stop me, knowing where I was going to go. He says this see we as humans are actually worst then the demons, so I asked why and to my surprise he says this the demons know the line and will not cross it however man who knows it as well crosses it daily or regularly.
So, there you go you see for the most part we know what is wrong but choose to live in the condemnation of its content. I hope you can see where I am going with this if not let me elaborate for you what I am trying to convey.
What I am saying here is that we have it all backwards and until we view things as God says we ort to we will always get it wrong.
However, God had a better plan, He tried that do all over process and still we rebel, so He came up with something new. That new thing was in the person of Jesus Christ our savior. This shows not that He is mien or bad but loving in ways that no human word can describe. See if God was to get rid of Satan, He would also have to get rid of all of creation including man. See but the logic the world uses tells them that this is what God should do but if you know scripture you can see in Genesis 6:11-13. He did exactly that. So, this doesn’t change a thing because removing Satan will not remove the evil tendance from our hearts only Jesus is able to do this. However, this is why God gave him to the world so that He would willingly give up his life for all of mankind.
Genesis 6:11-13
Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence. And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth
So, to remove Satan would mean to remove mankind as well. Now you can clearly see what is being done. God gives us the choice to choose Him or the world, that to me is what you can call loving and not hating. We however for the most part choose to do what is wrong instead, this video will explain how the evil works on the earth and how we can stand against it.
To add more content to this argument, God destroyed five cities in the story of lot, and this was clearly because of sin. However, in the days of Noah there was something more going on there and that is why he had to start over.
Consequently, we do not fight like the world fight, our fight starts on our knees and not our hands. The world will not have the same views that we do, as a matter of fact most believers are not true believer and will not have a true view of an issue.
Genesis 19:1-28 - NIV
1. The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground. 2. “My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning.” “No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.” 3. But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate.
4. Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5. They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.” 6. Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him
7. and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. 8. Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.” 9. “Get out of our way,” they replied. “This fellow came here as a foreigner, and now he wants to play the judge! We’ll treat you worse than them.” They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.
10. But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door. 11. Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door. 12. The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here,
13. because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.” 14. So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters. He said, “Hurry and get out of this place, because the Lord is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking. 15. With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.”
16. When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them. 17. As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, “Flee for your lives! Don’t look back, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!” 18. But Lot said to them, “No, my lords, please!
19. Your servant has found favor in your eyes, and you have shown great kindness to me in sparing my life. But I can’t flee to the mountains; this disaster will overtake me, and I’ll die. 20. Look, here is a town near enough to run to, and it is small. Let me flee to it—it is very small, isn’t it? Then my life will be spared.” 21. He said to him, “Very well, I will grant this request too; I will not overthrow the town you speak of.
22. But flee there quickly, because I cannot do anything until you reach it.” (That is why the town was called Zoar.) 23. By the time Lot reached Zoar, the sun had risen over the land. 24. Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah—from the Lord out of the heavens.
25. Thus he overthrew those cities and the entire plain, destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land. 26. But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt. 27. Early the next morning Abraham got up and returned to the place where he had stood before the Lord. 28. He looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah, toward all the land of the plain, and he saw dense smoke rising from the land, like smoke from a furnace.
We are always looking for an excuse for the evil we do and that is why we love to blame the enemy for things we do on our own. I share this story for two reason one I cannot understand why he would offer up his daughters and second what kind of evil it would take for all the men of the town to turn to this type of lifestyle. One to me was easy to figure out but the other I am still trying to make sense of it. In case you don’t know which one I am speaking of, it’s the offering of his daughters.
This link gives a good explanation of the story.
However, I will share my thoughts of this, please understand I am giving a biblical explanation and not one of my own understandings. So let me begin, here is why God called us to be set apart from them, or better said come out of her. When God was saying this, he was speaking of people having the wrong following or following the wrong group of people.
Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore, go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”
I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one.
There are many verses I can use to convey what God is saying but I believe these two sets of verses says it all. Let me elaborate what happened here. Lot became too comfortable with the culture and did not see what was going on until it was too late and then he chose to stay and live among them as one of them. This was his biggest mistake see too long in bad company will corrupt good morals and that is why God want us to be set apart.
Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
Now we must understand what God call bad or evil, I believe we have a misunderstanding of this verse. We must first understand that God’s ways are not ours. I know I’ve already said this, but this is where the road meets the pavement, and it is imperative that we understand this. Consequently, given enough time with anyone we socialize ourselves with that is not of God we must correct. However, if we choose not to correct it, we are then complicit in their affairs this is not a hard thing to conceive. It is said tell a lie long enough everyone will most likely start believing it. There is no difference in this, when you are doing this socializing with worldly minded individuals you start to think like them. Subjectively if we choose lord and savior and see what God calls evil to be ok that is how that devil wins let’s not give him the opportunity.
I hope this teaching blesses all who passes through this site, and my prayers is that it will help you make the right choices in your life. May God richly bless you and your families.
