Philippians 3:7-8

But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ,

I started this blog with these verses because my heart was very heavy today, seeing so many people running scared so they run right to a shot in the arm instead of the arms of the Father. They run to man for what man says will help them with the covid-19 phenomenon that has taken over the planet. I’m not speaking of the unsaved because they have no hope, but of brothers and sisters who are supposed to be like minded and say they are for the Father in heaven. I can’t understand how one can say they love the Father and tries to come to Him thru different means. Jesus says no one comes to the father but thru him. I don’t think people read God’s word enough to truly understand the gravity of His words. If we have a true understanding of His word and the times we are in, we would be responding differently I believe.

So, riddle me this, how can we say we believe, and we agree with every turn man dose that goes against the Father we love. My brothers my sisters please I am not here to tell people not to take the shot but to open eyes that are closed to the truth of God’s word.

God tells us in his word that we are a peculiar people a set apart generation for Him, the things that we do will not look normal to a dying world. We should be concerned when we look like what God called us out of. It is a good thing people, to be called out and set apart.

I don’t believe people understand the consequences of their disbelief, this is something if we don’t put it out from us it will draw us to doubt more. I see people putting their own understanding to Gods words to justify their actions. When we do like the world does, we are then no different from the world we are called to minister to. The word of God is our council, and we will never be led astray if we use it to guide our daily walk. This is the first thing we should be looking at in our life’s when we go to making any decisions. When we start look inward for answer we will be led astray.

Philippians 3

3 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.

2 Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision; 3 for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh, 4 although I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee; 6 as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless.

7 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. 8More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, 9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; 11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; 16 however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.

17 Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us. 18 For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things. 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; 21 who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

So, I will end this blog with a small teaching of God’s word because I think we have been duped to understanding that God works one way and that is the furthest from the truth then you can conceive. I see people make all kinds of excuses when it comes to taking the shot or shots and never taking ownership of their actions. I would respect it more when someone is honest about why they are taking it because at the end of the day this does not dam you to hell. See God knows our hearts, however the ones we speak to does not know our heart, because we cannot understand our own heart for God alone reveals our heart to us. This is where the honesty of your heart will be seen to God. I hope that you receive this in love and not as something negative because we are called to be set apart for Him. We are called to set our affections on high and the things of this world should not affect us.

How God works in our lives is different for each soul, but a lot of the teaching over the pulpit is that you will hear Him in a small still voice. Who here believes we serve a real big and living God cause if you do, I will tell you that God does not operate in one dimension?

I can tell you from experience that God had to be a little sterner with me when it comes to certain thing in my life. So, when God give us all this history in His word, it is to tells us how he will approach us when He needs to get your attention. So, I will share with you a story from Paul, because I am pretty sure that everyone knows Paul. When Jesus had to speak to Saul who became Paul it wasn’t a small still voice that God used. God knew the man he was approaching and what was needed to gain his heart and for him to surrender it to Him. In the road to Damascus God didn’t use a small still voice because it wouldn’t have worked on Paul, just like when God speaks to me at times, He didn’t use a small still voice, especially when I moved in disobedience. Paul was blinded for three days; I don’t want to butcher the story so here’s Paul’s encounter with the Lord.

Acts 9:1-19

Saul’s Conversion

9 Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest 2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. 3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. 4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” 5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. 6 “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” 7 The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. 8 Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes, he could see nothing. So, they led him by the hand into Damascus. 9 For three days he was blind and did not eat or drink anything. 10 In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Yes, Lord,” he answered. 11 The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying. 12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight.” 13 “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem. 14 And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name.” 15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”

17 Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, 19 and after taking some food, he regained his strength.

There are many stories like this in the words of God lets read and get better acquainted with our lord and savior. The verses I shared in the beginning of this blog to me shows how deeply concern God is of how we will react in these days. I’ve seen many videos even pastor talking about how we should all be willing to take this shot, wow how like the world are we going to be. How can we reach a dying world with a lifeless word this is where we are? We can’t show that we have something better when we look just like they do. We have the life given words of God so that we may be able to minister and bless others with the truth.

I would encourage all to read the full story of the above verses they are really good.

I love that story about Paul, hope this bless you and pray that it helps you gain a closer walk with our lord and savior.

Amen.
