The unpardonable Sin

I was doing what I do almost every day listening to a teaching or doing a study and bumped into this teaching and though that I should share because of what he spoke on shook me. This will be a short teaching blog on this topic.

The unpardonable sin, what are the signs of this. I will say this to those who reads my blogs I can bet that it is not what you thought, some may think they know but don’t know and that is why it is so scarier, and I would also say dangerous.

Well let’s start with scripture, so we can see what is being said and what God is trying to convey here.

Mark 3:28-30

“Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— 30 for they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”

Jesus is very clear to lay down the rules of His forgiveness there is no mistake here that all sins are forgivable even if blasphemies are uttered. I what to elaborate on this because a lot of Christians and leaders love to say someone has blaspheme the Lord, they blaspheme this or blaspheme that, and say these people saying this are dammed will Jesus here says otherwise.

The clarity is given at the end of the two verses, God here says the ones speaking this way are of an unclean spirit. This speaks of someone who is saved and if not saved, definitely of someone who knows the Lord, and this is where the confusion lies. However, I will explain what this is saying and why it is very important that we understand this. Let’s get started, if you being a child of the most High-God, meaning you are save and have received the holy spirit and continue to live in sin you are blaspheming the holy spirit, yes God is calling you unclean and need to turn back to Christ. How you say by repenting.

Here I will provide some more verses that will help you see the truth as the Lord attended you to see it.

Matthew 12:31-32

“Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

But they rebelled and grieved his Holy Spirit; therefore, He turned to be their enemy, and Himself fought against them.

“And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God, but the one who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God. And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but the one who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

I know this was short, but I believe it to be very important and if I am wrong like with anything I have written I will apologize to you all. However, to me this is clear in these verses, and there are many more verses on this, God is speaking of people who knows him. Understand this in order for you to deny him you must have first acknowledged him this is basic understanding. God is speaking to people who know and wants to be with him but are be led astray.

I will leave you with the letter written by John from God to the church of Laodicea which to me represents probably most of the churches today.

Revelation 3:15-22

15 “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. 17 For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with me. 21 The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

This story tells it all, God told this church that they need to repent because they no longer appeared to look like a church their appearance was more like the world there was no difference in their statue. My Pastor brought that point to my attention during his teaching on Sunday morning. He said if we go back, we will see God address the church in each city but here God addresses the city as the church I was wowed because I have read this and never saw that correlation. Please brothers and sisters in Christ see this for what it is the truth, see we look to man for answers because those answer satisfy the flesh and makes us happy. However, this prove the true nature of our heart even if we do understand or believe this to be true it doesn’t stop from being truth. God told us the conditions of our heart and how our feeling will always lead us to destruction. Let me share some verses with you to why we need Jesus always.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?

For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

James here is making it very clear that when people say oh God told me so or I heard from God, well if you are not reading the bible or studying His word you did not hear from God because today this is the only way he will communicate with you. So, here I hope will help you understand how God works. Now let me leave you with a disclosure this does not mean you cannot hear God speaking through a good preaching, teaching, a study or through a God-fearing brother or sister in Christ Jesus which is the same as seeking good council as we art to do. These you will hear when you surround yourself with good people but when that is not the case then His word is sufficient.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

People love to use these verses and almost always miss interpreted it wrong. Isaiah here is speaking of God’s will going fourth and being made complete. This does not mean what you want or is it about your needs, this is all God as it is supposed to be. If we can understand this then we can see the truth for what it truly is. Look all we need to do is remember it’s about Jesus not us, but what he came to do for us so we would have eternal life.

All I can say is thank you Jesus hallelujah amen to that.

So, I will end it with verse 22 He who has an ear let him hear what the spirit says to the church of Laodicea repent.

I hope this will be a blessing to all who reads and study’s God’s word.

Peace and blessings to all
