Which God do you Serve

Updated: Dec 6, 2022

Today I want to talk about how people are willing to believe anything that will make their way right. I will share with you verses on how Jesus Himself told us not to be deceived. However, I don’t think most people are aware of who Jesus said Satan is prior to telling us not to be deceived, Jesus called him the prince of the air and the god of this world.

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Ephesians 2:2

in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out.

So, with that understanding we should really look into who people are really worshiping, is it God or is it this world which belongs to Satan. So, let’s get started; I listened to a sermon on this and it rock my world, not because of what you may think it’s because I knew this without knowing. The reason I say this way is because I didn’t put it together like this pastor did.

He spoke boldly on how many people tell us they worship God but we never look into who is the god they are actually worshipping or serving. However, we assume that they are serving the same god until its to late. Well, I am here to let you know its never to late to get out and get back to the Father in heaven. This is where a lot of new converts get lost in the sauce so to speak. See if we are not out there standing on the truth God called us to stand on, we are doing God a great disservice and need to correct ourselves. We have to remember, now I know I said this a lot but it is because I don’t think it is sinking into everyone head. It is not about our feelings, our hearts, our opinions, our culture of the day or even our ethnicity. This lies solely on Christ Jesus and who you became once you were saved. I know a lot of people think you can hold on to some substance of who you were, but I am here to let you know God says you cannot.

God makes it so clear that we cannot hold onto nothing not even who we were, if we do, we will not make it and will suffer death. I will share with you God’s words on this and not my opinion. I will start where Luke says remember Lot’s wife.

Remember Lot's wife.

Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

This verse is very powerful and speaks of the characteristics God is looking for in a people. God has made his way clear in His words and it is scary to see people reading it and get something completely different than what is truly written and being conveyed. We must truly take to heart these things before leaping to making decisions that may change the direction that your life will go. These are the things that Paul wrote of in his words, when he was saying he had to die to his flesh daily. Paul wasn’t only speaking of the flesh he was also speaking of the though patterns of the days he was living because they were wicked as is ours. His heart was always to be of right standing with Christ Jesus and not the ways or the though patterns of the world.

31 I protest, brothers, by my pride in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die every day! 32 What do I gain if, humanly speaking, I fought with beasts at Ephesus? If the dead are not raised, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.” 33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”[a] 34 Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.

The Resurrection Body

35 But someone will ask, “How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?” 36 You foolish person! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. 37 And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as he has chosen, and to each kind of seed its own body. 39 For not all flesh is the same, but there is one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish. 40 There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly is of another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

42 So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. 43 It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”;[b] the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual. 47 The first man was from the earth, a man of dust; the second man is from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are of the dust, and as is the man of heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall[c] also bear the image of the man of heaven.

I believe this chapter explains it best, you all should go ahead and read that whole chapter it will be a blessing to you.

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

It is very clear here that Jesus wants us to have a clear understanding of what we are to do when we are making the change.

Consequently, this is what God says about it, and who we are after we’ve come to Him and are truly born again.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Since you have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God;

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. 3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.

I put these verses in this order because it has a nice flow, and you can see God heart in these verses and how deeply he truly loves His creation. This is why He calls us to be set apart from the world and its ways. If we stay attached to the ways of the world, we will end up following there thought patterns and end up with a wrong understanding of scripture. These acts are what is causing the church to apostatize from the truth.

This is why many churches and denomination are in agreement with sin. They agree with not only this pride sin, and I will get to you why it is called pride and why they want to use the rainbow. However, they agree with many more sinful acts. How the churches of the day would rather be pleasing to an evil fallen world than to Jesus. Jesus Himself said that this world belongs to Satan, and he is the god of this world. But God, says I am giving you a choice between life and death, choose life and live.

Deuteronomy 30:19

Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

Let’s get back to the topic at hand, people just saying they are Christians but have no form of what makes up a Christian is not Christian. I hope after you read this, it will help you see this a little clearer. There is a YouTube video out there in the ether that really shows or better yet explains this perfectly.

See we as God fearing believer do not know who the enemy real is we will be duped. If don’t have a true understanding who the enemy real is and what his title is here on earth, you then have a fighting chance of victory over the deception. We may think we are following the right god but in actuality we are following the god of this world. See he is also worshiped and many praise him and not the creating God.

To me it is easy to see who is real and fake by the choices they make, like the following.

1. Abortion

2. Same sex marriage

3. Fornication

4. LGBTQRSZ21 or whatever else that goes along with that

5. Gender, just believing in that word along is toxic. And believing there more than two sex

6. When you are narcissistic all about what you want and when is it my turn or what about me.

7. And the icing on the cake, that there is more than one way to God.

See these to me make it very easy to see who is being led by the world or the Lord of Lord’s and king of kings. So, if anyone stand on these truth then we are not standing in Christ Jesus. These are easily seen.

So, the word pride and it's content, are you aware of what God calls pride, God calls it sin. This is the sin of Satan.

Here are some verses on what God thinks about pride.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

But he gives more grace. Therefore, it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Everyone who is arrogant in heart is an abomination to the Lord; be assured, he will not go unpunished.

I will go into more detail on the next blog about pride.

As always, I hope that this blesses all who pass through my website. God bless you all.
